Izuchukwu Nwaeze was appointed Chief Compliance Officer of Capital Bancorp Plc in May 2023. Prior to this appointment, he served as Chief Compliance and Legal Officer at Sky Capital and Financial Allied International Limited. He also previously held multiple roles at Mega Capital Group, including Customer Service Manager, Chief Compliance Officer, and Legal Officer.

Izuchukwu brings extensive industry experience to the Executive Management of Capital Bancorp Plc. He commenced his career in the capital market in 2006 with Mega Equities Limited, a subsidiary of Mega Capital Group, in Operations, and later progressed through roles including Customer Service Executive in 2014, Compliance Officer in 2018, and Compliance and Legal Officer in 2020.

He is an alumnus of Lead City University and the Nigerian Law School, Abuja Campus. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), and he is qualified as a Barrister at Law (BL). He is a registered Compliance Officer with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), a Certified Data Protection Officer (DPO), and an Accredited Practitioner with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the Committee of Chief Compliance Officers of Capital Market Operators in Nigeria (CCCOCIN).
